“If we persevere, insyaAllah , we will win,” Muhyiddin said in a special address televised live today.
Earlier, the prime minister announced that the Movement Control Order which was to end on April 14 has been extended for another two weeks until April 28. The extension of the MCO, Muhyiddin said, was imperative to prevent the Covid-19 from further escalating and avoid the virus from infecting more people in the country.“We can no longer do what we have been accustomed to. We will lead our daily lives in ‘the new normal’.
“For example, the custom of shaking hands when greeting people. Maybe after this, we will just bow our head as a sign of respect. And this is the new normal,” he said.
