About 1.5 to 2.5 inches of rain is expected in most spots. Rain is arriving late Friday evening and should be mostly done by midafternoon Saturday.

Today wasn’t too shabby for a springtime day around here, especially with the morning sunshine overhead. Clouds increasingly shrouded skies this afternoon as a storm gathers to our south. While rain is on its way, many evening activities should stay dry. Grab an umbrella if staying out late and plan on a wet Saturday.

Clouds continue to lower and thicken this evening, but we should stay dry through and beyond sunset. Rain is arriving late evening and around midnight, earliest south and west. It turns steadier into the pre-dawn, then perhaps heavier yet around sunrise. Temperatures are fairly steady overnight, not far from 50.Rain should be at its heaviest through mid- to late morning, then tapering by early afternoon. Flooding risk is probably highest during that period and for a time thereafter.
