With the high humidity, it’s feeling like summer, and temperatures are headed upward tomorrow.
Today’s isolated showers offered up some heavy rain in the limited number of spots they hit. The region also saw extended periods of sunshine break through this afternoon, a rarity of late. Humidity approaching midsummer levels isn’t too kind, but highs near 80 aren’t quite toasty enough for notable heat indexes. It’ll turn briefly hot tomorrow. A few more showers can’t be ruled out on the way.
Quick downpours and maybe some rumbles dot the area through about sunset. After a break, additional showers or storms are possible after midnight. Lows mainly end up in the mid- and upper 60s. Some areas of fog may form overnight and toward sunrise.Any patchy fog early Wednesday dissipates quickly. Otherwise, there will be lots of sun and only a very slight chance of a shower or storm. Temperatures soar near 90 in the afternoon, which could threaten some records.
