Albanese said another priority would be outreach for repeat emergency hospital visitors, in order to help people who might have underlying issues such as mental health, drug, or alcohol problems, as well as to take the pressure off emergency departments. The budget will also include investment in digital health, and funding for multidisciplinary team-based models to include quality of care.
Albanese said the government would also invest $720 million in the NDIS to allow it to deliver better support for participants.
