Pittsburgh Steelers OT Troy Fautanu is out indefinitely with a knee injury he suffered in practice.
Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Troy Fautanu, who had a promising start against the Denver Broncos in Week 2, is out indefinitely after suffering a knee injury in practice on Friday. Second-year tackle Broderick Jones will start in his place.
With Fautanu sidelined, Spencer Anderson will slot in as the swing tackle, even though he is starting at left guard in place of Isaac Seumalo, who is out with a pectoral injury. Fautanu was downgraded to out and will miss the game against the Chargers., where our team of sports betting experts has reviewed the experience, payout speed, parlay options and quality of odds for multiple sportsbooks.
With him being out indefinitely, it is possible that Fautanu could require a stint on injured reserve. Fourth offensive tackle Dylan Cook is sidelined with a lisfranc injury and still not ready to return. He may not return when he is eligible to come off injured reserve after the team’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Fautanu allowed just two pressures in his NFL debut against the Broncos. Jones was called for three penalties in six plays against the Broncos, but now has a chance to prove that performance is behind him. Moore will continue to start at left tackle, where he has played solid over the season’s first two games.
Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa will test this Steelers tackle situation right away.
