The Pittsburgh Steelers are interviewing Cowboys tight ends coach Lunda Wells for their open OC job.
Wells has coached the Cowboys tight ends since 2020 when McCarthy first came on board, and they kept him under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer. In his years with the Cowboys, Wells has helped develop Dalton Schultz and Jake Ferguson.

There are other, more experienced options like Alex Van Pelt and Luke Getsy, too, but the Steelers seem to have an eye on Wells. Wells adds onto Patrick Graham, who is rumored to be in the running for Steelers defensive coordinator. Both of those coaches have ties to McCarthy from either his time in Green Bay or Dallas, so it is unsurprising that he is dipping into his pool of confidants to look for his next coordinators.Pittsburgh Steelers lose offensive coordinator to elite college football program The door is officially open for Aaron Rodgers to have an unexpected reunion with Steelers, Mike McCarthyNick Farabaugh is the Pittsburgh Steelers beat writer for PennLive.com, based in Pittsburgh.
