Pickaway County is under a flood warning with the Scioto River in Circleville projected to exceed flood stage, leading to potential minor flood damage. Local residents share their experiences and preparedness measures for the anticipated flooding.

Floodwaters are expected to rise again in Pickaway County , with the Scioto River in Circleville forecast to climb more than a foot above flood stage on Friday, bringing with it minor flood damage. Circleville High School senior Macie Kisor said flooding is a familiar sign of spring behind her home.

“It flooded clear up to the top of this, right here, to where it’s almost like a pond down here,” Kisor said. “You just have to be ready; you have to be ready to go to the store to get stuff for how long it’s going to be.” High water signs were already in place near an underpass by the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office ahead of what was described as the first flood of the spring season. The National Weather Service issued a flood warning Friday for Pickaway County through Saturday, with minor flooding expected along the Scioto River at Circleville. The river was expected to crest at 16.1 feet, a little more than a foot above flood stage.“It takes about six inches of water to sweep away a car,” said Tiffany Nash, executive director of the Pickaway County Emergency Management Agency. “You never know what’s in the water, often it is murky, and you can’t see anything in there, debris, anything that will cut tires.”“Spring in Ohio, that’s what it is,” Kisor said. “I think it’s just part of the town, the town does come together when stuff happens due to flooding.”Thousands of protesters gathered at the Ohio Statehouse on Saturday afternoon, joining a nationwide "No Kings Day" movement aimed at the Trump administration. As the weather warms and spring break approaches, there’s no better place for families to reconnect with nature, wildlife, and each other than the Columbus ZooA local nonprofit is expecting its biggest turnout yet for its annual egg hunt that has been billed as Columbus' largest.Kingdom Image Arts hosted the "city's lGROVE CITY, Ohio — Don Leonard, a Democratic candidate for Ohio’s 15th Congressional District, was arrested Saturday morning during a "No Kings" protestThe three airmen killed in a refueling crash in Iraq are returning to Ohio on Sunday.Capt.
