The Philadelphia Phillies ' jerseys will have a new look the next time you see them.The team announced Wednesday it's first jersey patch partnership with Independence Blue Cross, shortened to IBX."The Phillies were determined from the start to find the right pinnacle partner for our coveted jersey patch," Phillies Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer John Middleton said.
"The patch, a white background outlined in red with Independence IBX in blue, will be placed on the left sleeve of all Phillies' jerseys starting Wednesday against the New York Yankees. The Phillies are the 22nd MLB team to add an advertising patch to their jerseys. Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola endorsed the partnership, crediting IBX's commitment to helping those battling ALS.
