A new restaurant duo has opened in Miami's Design District, marking the first restaurant ventures since Pharrell Williams joined Launchpad Hospitality as a partner and advisor. Located in the same building, Nami Nori , a hand-roll restaurant inspired by Miami's beach vibes, sits downstairs, while Matsuyoi , a Japanese spot, takes over the upstairs area.
Nami Nori offers signature seafood rolls and small plates, while Matsuyoi features a multi-course, rotating menu centered on temaki, served in a more intimate and moody atmosphere. Both restaurants offer unique beverage pairings, including sake, wine, and cocktails. While Nami Nori blends in with its Miami surroundings, Matsuyoi evokes the feeling of anticipation and romance, with a design inspired by the wood-block artist Kawase Hasui
