A petition signed by 23 residents has now been sent to the council
Residents in Blackburn have protested after plans were tabled for a new coffee shop in Whalley Range.The plans reveal that a house would be converted into a coffee shop with the erection of a new shop front.
“The petition contains 23 signatures, directly from nearby addresses on Whalley Range and Snow Street. “Should the application be recommended for approval, it will be reported to the planning and highways committee for determination.A supporting statement submitted with the application says: “The application site comprises a two-storey, mid-terrace property located within the ‘Inner Urban’ area of Blackburn, within the vibrant Whalley Range area, on the edge of the designated centre within a commercialised setting with a range of shops and local services present.
