The longtime Cincinnati Red undermined his historic achievements and Hall of Fame dreams by gambling on games. - , Stephanie Wheatley, a spokesperson for Clark County in Nevada, confirmed on behalf of the medical examiner that Rose died Monday. Wheatley also shared that Rose’s cause and manner of death had not yet been determined.He was most notable for being a part of a dominating Cincinnati Reds lineup in the 1970s.
