The loving Husky puppy Merida is our Pet of the Week.

Merida is an 8 month old, brown and white spayed female who has been waiting for her new home since February 19.

Since she arrived at the Fairbanks Animal Shelter as a stray, we don’t know much about her history, but the shelter staff say that she has quickly won their hearts. They don’t know if Merida has much training under her belt, but say that Merida is happy to learn and eager to please. A basic obedience class would likely be helpful to her. Also, Merida has done a good job keeping her kennel clean at the shelter, indicating that she may be housebroken.

Merida loves to cuddle, but huskies are also an energetic, active breed, so you should be prepared for her to join you on adventures! If you are interested in meeting Merida or any of her other friends at the Fairbanks Animal Shelter, please call 459-1451.
