Perak Umno nominates Saarrani for MB

The Perak government had originally remained under Pakatan Harapan throughout last week's political crisis. However, after Muhyiddin Yassin was sworn in as prime minister of a Perikatan Nasional coalition, Faizal said the state government would follow suit. Umno and PAS combined have 28 seat, while Bersatu has two. A majority in the state assembly requires 30 seats.
Tualang Sekah assemblyperson Nolee Ashilin Mohamed, who is an independent, has not stated whether she would back PN. She was formerly from Umno.
