KUALA LUMPUR: Perak MB Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu will be meeting Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah on Sunday (March 1) to discuss the status of the state government.

"I will see the Perak Sultan today ... I'm going now," the Perak Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia chairman said as he exited newly-minted Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's house. It was reported that Pakatan Harapan could lose the Perak state government as Ahmad Faizal is likely to work with Muafakat Nasional in the state.

Ahmad Faizal was seen in Muhyiddin's house prior to the Pagoh MP's swearing-in ceremony as Prime Minister earlier on Sunday.Ahmad Faizal also urged Malaysians to support the new Prime Minister."I hope Malaysians will support the new Prime Minister and Cabinet which he will establish later," he said.
