Pennsylvania has two new looks - one for license plates and the other for state welcome signs.Gov. Josh Shapiro unveiled the new designs Tuesday morning . 'Pennsylvania is the birthplace of our democracy, and as Governor, I have been focused on advancing real freedom across the Commonwealth,' Shapiro said in a statement.
When the plates become available, an email will be sent explaining how vehicle owners can request one from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation . Military, special organization, special fund, and specialty plates without legislatively mandated designs will also be updated with the new design.A statement from the governor's office said all existing standard issue license plate inventory will be used before transitioning to the new plate design.New Pa.
