One person is dead after being hit by a car in north Columbus late Friday night.

The pedestrian -- identified at 53-year-old Florence Vitka -- was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital with critical injuries. She was pronounced dead not long after getting to the hospital.Columbus police are looking for more information about the crash as their investigation continues.
