The Sixers' starting lineup included rookie second-round pick Adem Bona.
Sixers forward Paul George has played in just 27 of the Sixers' 41 games, including Sunday night in Milwaukee.. Additionally, center Andre Drummond will not play against the Bucks on the second night of a back-to-back, after returning Saturday from a sprained toe. Coach Nick Nurse said during his pregame news conference that Drummond came out of that game “medium,” and that he would be playing Sunday if that injury felt better.
Those absences will create the latest unorthodox starting lineup for the Sixers: All-Star guard Tyrese Maxey, rookie Adem Bona, second-year wing Ricky Council IV, and veterans Kelly Oubre Jr. and Eric Gordon.George has had an inconsistent first season with the Sixers, averaging 17.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.8 steals in 27 games entering Sunday. But he is shooting an uncharacteristic 42.3% from the floor, and 35.5% from three-point range.
Yabusele was the only Sixers player to play in all 39 games entering Saturday. He also has been a bright spot in a mostly disastrous season for the team, averaging 10.1 points and 5.4 rebounds and shooting 39.6% from three-point range while playing center and power forward. The Sixers conclude this three-game road trip on Tuesday at the Denver Nuggets, before a home-road back-to-back on Friday and Saturday against the Cleveland Cavaliers and at the Chicago Bulls.
