Paul George overcame injury concerns to play his seventh consecutive game for the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night. He is also the first back-to-back game he has played in this season.
On Monday night, the 76ers are in good shape health-wise. While Paul George , a nine-time All-Star, was recently on the injury report, he played in Monday's game. This marks George's seventh consecutive game played. Last week, George played in the Sixers' two-game series against the Charlotte Hornets. In the first game, he scored 33 points on 65 percent shooting. Jared McCain is the only Sixer listed on the team's initial injury report for tomorrow's game against San Antonio.
Joel Embiid, Paul George, and everyone else are good to go. In the second game, George played 38 minutes, scoring five points, grabbing ten rebounds, and dishing out eight assists. Considering Friday's game was the first of a back-to-back, there was a chance George might sit out. Since the start of the 2024-2025 NBA season, George hasn't played in consecutive games, largely due to knee concerns. Although Sixers head coach Nick Nurse was sure George would play against the Cavs, the injury report suggested there was a chance he could sit out. George was listed as questionable leading up to the final submission of the starting lineup. Thankfully, George was able to play in his first back-to-back set for the Sixers this year and extended his longest streak of appearances to six games. During that stretch, George has averaged 16 points per game while shooting 43 percent from the field and knocking down 32 percent of his threes. The veteran has also contributed six rebounds and five assists per game. It's clear George is still trying to find his groove with the Sixers while playing alongside the team's two other All-Stars
