Patriots cornerback Jack Jones could be facing a lengthy prison sentence if he is convicted on gun charges stemming from an arrest at Logan International Airport.
Jones, 25, faces a litany of charges after he was arrested on Friday and charged with having two handguns in his carry-on luggage.explained the severity of Jones’ situation to the Boston Globe“If he were convicted and sentenced consecutively on each charge he’d face more than 30 years in prison,” the spokesperson said.
Nevertheless, the outlet notes that consecutive sentencing from judges is rare, and it is more common for sentences to be served concurrently. According to the Globe, Jones faces “two counts each of possession of a concealed weapon in a secure area of an airport, possession of ammunition without a firearm identification card, unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, and possession of a large-capacity feeding device.”
