The Parma Fire Department is still investigating the cause of the fire.
Laurie Meadows tells 19 News she and her son had just pulled into their driveway in the family’s 2013 Ford Explorer on Oct. 4.She saw the flames from the kitchen window, close to her home.
“My first thought is that I have to move the car, or it’s going to catch my house on fire,” Meadows says. “You’re not thinking you can’t get in the car that’s on fire.” Meadows says her husband tried dousing the flames and keeping the fire from spreading as firefighters made their way to the scene. “I credit the Parma Fire Department for their response time and my husband’s quick thinking. If he didn’t go outside and smell it as he did, it would have been much worse.”
Meadows, who only has the Ford emblem left to show for her car, says she still doesn’t know what happened.Cleveland mother claims she witnessed her son gun down his brother: ‘Turn yourself in’Injury analyst on Deshaun Watson: ‘I think the Browns are holding something back here’
