Berard said many parents are using the videos from Santa to encourage their children to behave better. He even beta-tested some harsher messaging on his 6-year-old son, but said it backfired. “My boy didn’t say a word and left the room and was crying,” said Berard.“We have some messages about going through tough times. Maybe their parents are divorcing or they lost their cat or grandma, so they are having some life challenges,” said Berard. “Santa is there to try and be a bit of a positive voice to help them get through the challenge.
“Santa told him to just remember to look at all the beautiful things in the world,” Dominguez told The Post. “After the call with Santa, he was so happy. It was amazing.”
