Bong Joon-ho's acclaimed film Parasite, the first non-English language film to win Best Picture at the Academy Awards, will be re-released in cinemas starting February 7th with an exclusive IMAX run.
Parasite received critical acclaim upon its release in 2019 and became the first non-English language feature to ever win an Academy Award for Best Picture. It starred Song Kang-ho , Choi Woo-shik , Park So-dam , Jang Hye-jin , Lee Sun-kyun , Cho Yeo-jeong , and more.

The 2019 film is just an addition to Bong’s already extensive list of critically acclaimed features, including Barking Dogs Never Bite , Memories of Murder , The Host , Mother , Snowpiercer , Okja . The director’s next project is the sci-fi black comedyParasite earned a total of four Academy Awards, such as Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Feature Film. The synopsis reads: “Meet the Park Family: the picture of aspirational wealth. And the Kim Family, rich in street smarts but not much else. Be it chance or fate, these two houses are brought together and the Kims sense a golden opportunity. Masterminded by college-aged Ki-woo, the Kim children expediently install themselves as tutor and art therapist, to the Parks. Soon, a symbiotic relationship forms between the two families. The Kims provide ‘indispensable’ luxury services while the Parks obliviously bankroll their entire household.
