The Parañaque City courts will be closed from June 26 to July 2 after a civilian security unit personnel assigned at the city hall tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in a rapid test.
Parañaque Regional Trial Court Executive Judge Noemi Balitaan requested for the disinfection of the fourth to eighth floors of the legislative building, which will be physically closed for seven days for disinfection and containment activity.
Balitaan also ordered all judges and court employees to avoid contact with the public, and to conduct contact tracing on all persons they may have been in contact with or who visited the court premises for the last two weeks. She also said hearings in the affected courts will continue through video conferencing, while pleadings may be filed electronically.
The executive judge also told all court offices to monitor all hotlines and emails for urgent matters.
