Residents of a Paramount mobile home park fear homelessness after new owners raised the rents exponentially since taking over.

"I’m scared," said teenager Alex Sanchez. "I don’t know what’s going to happen to my Mom; she’s scared about the eviction." "Everybody keeps telling us that their hands are tied; it’s a civil matter, but it’s just not fair," said Desiree, a tenant who asked us not to tell her full name.It’s the only place they’ve been able to afford in LA County. But their home, which used to be The Wheel Trailer Park, was recently sold.

When the tenants told the new owners they couldn’t afford to pay a 200% increase in rent, they all received a notice of eviction.
