Panera is overhauling its menu to win over the growing breakfast crowd
The new cold brews, as well as the new light and dark roasts, will be showcased in a revamped coffee station in the restaurants“We felt like we weren’t doing our new coffee justice with the old coffee stations. It was commoditized and dated. We’re overhauling it entirely and giving it a craft feel,” Wegiel said. “We needed it to match the quality of the coffee.”
“Though the notion of the reorder is available all day, we think it’s perfect for breakfast and we believe we now have one of the fastest e-commerce breakfast apps out there,” Wegiel said. “We’re really trying to push the envelope on convenience. We’ll see how the first market does and then expand it,” he said. “Even if we have the best menu in place, convenience plays into this in a big way, especially in the morning when there are time pressures. Our goal is to combine all of the elements to be a total experience and a solution.”
