The concept launched in Lockdown and has gone on to win the People’s Choice gong at the 2022 British Street Food Awards
An award-winning street food concept is preparing to open its doors at a new spot in Altrincham. Unagi, a Neo-Tokyo-inspired eatery will open in the ‘bustling’ South Manchester town later this month - adding another venue to its rapidly growing number of locations.
Established in lockdown 2020, Unagi has gone on to establish a presence in Timperley, Wilmslow, Didsbury, MediacityUK and on the edge of the Green Quarter, just off Cheetham Hill Road. Their Cheetham Hill spot operates out of a huge shipping container complete with a gated courtyard and outdoor seating - and there’s even a shipping container for shooting hoops.
Famed for their delicious street food offerings and masterfully hand rolled sushi dishes, Unagi is the proud winner of the People’s Choice 2022 British Street Food Awards, Northern Heats, and there has been much talk about the concept opening a permanent site in Altrincham.
