BACOLOD CITY – The construction of a P300-million public college in Silay City, Negros Occidental is underway.

CITY officials headed by Mayor Joedith Gallego and Michael Valderrama lead the groundbreaking of the P300-million Roberto Jalandoni-Silay City College in Silay City, Negros Occidental on Sunday, November 5.

City officials led by Mayor Joedith Gallego and Michael Valderrama, who represented the lot donor, led the groundbreaking of the Roberto Jalandoni-Silay City College in line with the commemoration of Al Cinco de Noviembre in the city on Sunday, November 5. The Valderrama and Jalandoni families donated a 3.5-hectare property to the local government for the construction of the city college.

Gallego said the funding for the project was obtained from a city loan with the Land Bank of the Philippines. He said they are eyeing to start construction by next year and complete the project in two years or 2025.
