The hidden bar or restaurant – “secret” operations tucked inside existing venues – may be a new thing in Houston.
, an unmarked 20-seat bar cocktail bar tucked into a former private dining space available only by reservation.restaurant in the Heights is ready to unlock its own hidden enclave, a speakeasy-style bar and boutique restaurant called, opening March 11. The 38-seat hideaway, set behind the bar at Savoir, 1344 Yale, will offer classic cocktails and a steakhouse menu from Savoir executive chef Eric Johnson.
“Houston has always had an affinity for steakhouses, and the city has no shortage of premiere steakhouses,” said owner Brian Doke. “However, that doesn’t include The Heights even though the neighborhood has morphed into one of the most dynamic restaurant scenes in Houston. At Patton’s, we will offer the prime cuts of steak that Houstonians love and serve them up in a one-of-a-kind, intimate space that is wholly unique.
Patton’s will be dinner-only service on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 4 to 10 p.m. Reservations are strongly recommended; 346-802-2842,
