More than 300 warnings and alerts for floods are in place across parts of the UK in the start of the week. England and Wales were subject to severe weather warnings from the Met Office over Saturday and Sunday due to the persistent rain and it seems the chaos is set to continue today.

England and Wales were subject to severe weather warnings from the Met Office over Saturday and Sunday due to the persistent rain and it seems the chaos is set to continue today. There are 64 flood warnings in place this morning, while the Environment Agency also issued 248 less severe flood alerts.
Some 80 flood warnings have been removed in the last 24 hours as the rain starts to clear in some areas. The agency said: 'Local flooding from rivers is probable in the Midlands and South until Wednesday. Land, roads and properties could flood and there could be travel disruptions.' People were also urged to be wary of rising river levels amid the rainfall over the weekend
