The Orange City School District has filed litigation in an effort to recover about $619,000 that was stolen from the district.

In September, Puster said the district learned that one of its vendors did not receive payment for services it had provided to the Orange Schools. “It’s important to note that no personal staff or student information was affected or compromised, and this potential loss of funds will not affect student learning or opportunities,” Puster said in the release.
As the incident involves a criminal investigation and related litigation, Puster said he was not able to share any additional information.
