Opinion: Supreme Court Justices Alito and Thomas have demonstrated a serious lack of ethics [Opinion]
” : Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito was flown to Alaska on a private jet owned by a wealthy hedge fund manager whose “businesses were parties to a number of Supreme Court cases in which Alito participated.” Alito did not feel he needed to disclose this, saying the seat on that jet “as far as I am aware, would otherwise have been vacant.”AdvertisementA good number of years ago I was a personal acquaintance of the late Honorable Rudi Brewster, a Federal Court Judge in San Diego.
Though I am not an attorney and would likely never be in his courtroom, he insisted, showing the character, ethics and judgment that we should expect of any high level member of our country’s judiciary. A shame that Supreme Court Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas do not share those ethics or that character and judgment.
