The Tax Foundation last month put out its, which deserves broader coverage as evidence of which states are serious about competing for labor and capital.
On the dishonor roll are the usual suspects, and the states with the worst tax climates are: New Jersey , New York , California and Connecticut . When a state ranks low on one tax, such as on individual income, it tends to be bad on all of them. California finished in the 40s on corporate, individual and sales taxes.
