By now, most Americans are aware of this Trump-supported tactic that will require citizens to present a passport or birth certificate when they show up at the voting booth.
It has already been approved by the House, and last weekend, the Senate, in a special session, weighed in on the issue. The only hope many of us have for the failure of legislation, which is based on a false premise, is that it doesn’t get the 60 votes from the 100 senators. Like many of Trump’s schemes to undermine that vote, particularly as he perceives a possible defeat in the upcoming midterm elections, this one seeks to disenfranchise voters by making it more difficult for them to meet the absurd requirements. To some extent, Trump is as discombobulated about domestic affairs as he is about the war with Iran. If the Strait of Hormuz has him tangled and uncertain, Juliana Stratton’s recent victory in the Illinois Senate primary should give him a few more sleepless nights. I am sure many citizens will agree that my remedy to save America is the removal of Trump from the Oval Office, drag him off to Mar-a-Lago, deny him access to Truth Social, and cut him off from his malevolent base. If that fails to muffle his obnoxious and injurious government, maybe we can book him on the next Blue Origin or SpaceX flight.Since 1909, bringing you the news that mainstream media just doesn't.
