Only a third of registered voters are considering re-electing President Joe Biden in 2024.

Some 54% of the registered voters that responded in the latest Fox News poll said they're considering voting for someone else other than Biden. Within parties, 9 in 10 Republican voters are considering another candidate, while 7 in 10 Democratic voters are still planning to vote for Biden.

It's an improvement from last month's ABC News-Washington Post poll, which found that 56% of registered Democratic voters and Democratic-leaning voters want another candidate to top the ticket. The poll revealed that only 35% prefer Biden as the Democratic Party's 2024 nominee. This latest poll comes from Oct. 9-12.Biden appears to have lost independent voters, with 54% opting to vote for another candidate. Only 13% said they were set on a second term for the president.

Another one-third reported thinking Biden was a strong leader , down 14 points from an October 2020 poll. "Political science research indicates that when a president is perceived as being a ‘strong leader’ they are likely to have positive ratings overall," Republican pollster Daron Shaw told Fox of the poll results."In Biden’s case, it’s hard to overcome the fact that almost two-thirds think he’s weak."This poll had a margin of error of 2.5 percentage points.
