The One Piece anime is officially coming back. Toei just dropped a brand-new trailer packed with breathtaking glimpses of the long-awaited Elbaph Arc. This fabled Land of Giants has been heavily teased since the Alabasta Saga back in 2001, and seeing the Straw Hats finally arrive there is everything the fandom has been waiting for.
The trailer features a mix of both fresh and familiar faces who are set to play major roles in this upcoming arc. And just as promised, Toei Animation clearly hasn't held back in the visual department, delivering incredibly fluid animation with a new art style. If this footage is any indication, this truly marks a bold new beginning for the One Piece anime. One Piece’s Elbaph Trailer Reveals The Straw Hats' New Looks & New Theme Songs The new trailer for the One Piece Elbaph Arc opens up with Luffy running into Loki, the infamous Prince of Elbaph, who happens to be tied up in giant chains for committing a grievous sin. After Luffy asks him why Shanks came all the way out there to visit him, Loki takes advantage of the situation and tries to strike a sketchy deal to get himself freed. Moving past their standoff, the new footage gives viewers a really good look at the crew's new Elbaph outfits. The most emotional part of the wardrobe change is easily Robin, who has styled her hair just like she had it as a child, so Jaguar D. Saul recognizes her right away.
