Get ready for Thee Stork Club — yes, with an extra “e” in the name — with is set to open with a show featuring John Waters, Shannon Shaw.
The Stork Club in Oakland, which closed in May 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, is getting a new lease on life.
The popular hangout, which is reportedly one of the oldest dive bars in the Bay Area, is set to reopen under new ownership and with a different name.Famed director John Waters will appear at the opening event, along with Shannon Shaw, singer for the Oakland band Shannon and the Clams, and DJ Chris Owen.
