Upon arrival, personnel from Rescue 406 and Medic 406 encountered active fire and heavy black smoke coming from the first and second floors of the residence. Crews immediately initiated a coordinated search and fire attack, according to Assistant Chief Joseph Krouse. During the primary search, firefighters located and removed two victims from the home.
