One person injured during early morning shooting near Route 59 in Naperville, police say
The incident occurred about 12:15 a.m. in the 700 block of Inland Circle, near North Aurora Road and Route 59, according to a news release from police Cmdr. Michaus Williams.Officers responding to a report of shots fired found the victim with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, Williams said. He was transported to an area hospital.
The victim and suspect are known to each other and were among a group of people when a “firearm was brandished, and the victim was shot. The remaining details of this incident are under investigation,” Williams said in the release.Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Naperville Police Department at 630-420-6665 and ask for the Investigations Division.
