One person is dead after a police shooting in the University District. It all happened on Chittenden Avenue, a street made up of predominantly student housing,

It all happened at around 1:30 a.m. on the 200 block of Chittenden Avenue , a street made up of predominantly student housing, located just a few blocks from Ohio State 's campus. Officers say they had already dealt with the man late at night on Monday, and that the Mobile Crisis Response unit was present during that first encounter. The MCR chose "to disengage" at that time.

Then, at 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, officers found the same person walking around in an alleyway located in the same area. That is when officers say the person approached officers and while holding several knife-like weapons.
