Oncor, the largest energy delivery company in Texas, is close to getting approval for a rate increase following an agreement with multiple parties. The new proposal, if approved, will result in a 3% increase for residential customers using 1,000 kWh monthly, down from an initial proposal of 4.7%. The increase is intended to improve safety, reliability and system resiliency, and support Texas' growing energy needs.
