CLEVELAND, Ohio — Garfield Heights and Lutheran East remain Northeast Ohio’s top-ranked teams in their respective divisions for the latest cleveland.com boys basketball state rankings.for the area regardless of classification, lead Division III. Lutheran East, last year’s Division III state champion, remains ahead in Division V of the OHSAA’s expanded seven division format that begins this season.
Notable movement includes Canton McKinley jumping into the Division I top 10 after its victory last week against Federal League rival Massillon Jackson. McKinley joins top-ranked Olentangy Orange and defending state champion St. Ignatius in Division I. The No. 1-ranked teams remain unchanged from a week ago, as cleveland.com’s top 10s include each team’s best wins and losses with the divisions for those opponents.
