I added one touchdown each for two outside factors. One is the memory of 2017′s drubbing in Iowa City that OSU coach Ryan Day has been transplanting into the minds of players who were barely in high school at the time.
Iowa ranks 113th in the nation in time of possession, so expect the Hawkeyes to pile up three-and-outs and punt the ball back to the Buckeyes often. Even if the Hawkeyes keep things in front of them and they don’t give up huge plays, Ohio State should score consistently, and Iowa might be lucky to score at all. That makes Ohio State covering the 29.5-point spread a likely proposition.
