Ohio State University's basketball team, seeded eighth, enters the Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis on Thursday, benefiting from a double-bye. Their first game is against either Iowa, Oregon, or Maryland. The Buckeyes are coming off a win against Indiana and a strong regular season finish, led by senior Bruce Thornton's record-breaking performance. A win would ensure a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

Thanks to a strong finish and a 12-8 conference record, the Buckeyes earned a double-bye and will enjoy a few days of rest before they play either Iowa, Oregon or Maryland. OSU is seeded eighth in the tournament and its first game is set to begin at noon ET on Thursday and will be shown on the Big Ten Network.

The winner will play No. 1 seed and league champ Michigan, which went 19-1 during conference play and earned a triple-bye. OSU lost during the regular season to Iowa and twice to Michigan, but beat Maryland and Oregon, both on the road. On Saturday, OSU closed out its regular season with a 91-78 defeat of Indiana. Senior leader Bruce Thornton became the school's all-time leading scorer during that game, which marked the first time Thornton had beaten the Hoosiers. The win gave OSU its 20th win of the season and likely clinched an NCAA Tournament bid for the Buckeyes.Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will provide an update Tuesday morning about Operation Epic Fury as the United States and Israel continue to launch attacks in IrEach spring, lakes and ponds across Ohio get a sudden boost of life as the Ohio Department of Natural Resources begins releasing thousands of rainbow troA weekend of gun violence in Columbus left one teen dead and five others targeted in separate shootings, including a 12-year-old who was wounded in the leg.GunfAfter Tuesday night, I’m going to be away for a few weeks to take care of a health situation.
