Questions about who controls the Ohio House continued this week. A plan to change who controls public education and one to make it harder to amend the state constitution came back. And the attorney general found himself in a little bit of hot water.
It's a practice called double dipping, and in 2018, about 12,000 Ohioans retired and continued to work for at least $20,000 at a public employer, according to anYost spokeswoman Bethany McCorkle told the USA TODAY Network Ohio Bureau that the attorney general"remains committed to public service and his duty."
"I feel that the purpose of the legislation is critical to the improvement of the state," bill sponsor Sen. Bill Reineke, R-Tiffin, said.
