Some of the work focused on crime-scene examinations, while others were part of larger investigations. Yost’s report indicates that prosecutors brought 42 cases involving police officers to Ohio grand juries since 2019. All but six ended without charges.
June 18: Wadsworth police officers shot Shannon Sloan, 54, after he had pointed a gun at officers, according to a state report. The family has sued Wadsworth police in U.S. District Court in Cleveland. A county grand jury declined to charge the officers.
