CAF have officially confirmed the next two Africa Cup of Nations hosts.
Following CAF's latest Executive Committee meeting, African football's governing body has now confirmed the host nations for the 2025 and 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. After CAF stripped Guinea of the rights to host the 2025 edition of the continental showpiece, Africa has been waiting with bated breath to see who will replace the west African nation, and an answer has now arrived.
Today, CAF president Dr Patrice Motsepe, with the help of the rest of the chiefs at the Cairo-based institution, announced that Morocco will host the 34th edition of the competition. It will be the first time since 1988 that the north African nation will stage the tournament after it was rumoured that they received a unanimous victory over the likes of Algeria and Nigeria.
That was not all, though, as the former Mamelodi Sundowns chairman also confirmed that Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania will jointly host the 2027 edition of African football's most prestigious tournament.
