Police officers fired their weapons Nov. 23, 2022, while responding to a panic alarm in the 5000 block of August Hill in Kingwood.Houston police officers checking on a medical alarm at a Kingwood home opened fire Wednesday after spotting the silhouette of an armed man inside, according to officials.
No one was hurt during the shooting just before 11 p.m. in the 5500 block of August Hills Drive. "When they were looking inside the house, they saw a man through the window — just a silhouette because it was very dark in the backyard — with a gun raised and pointed at the officers," Assistant Police Chief Patricia Cantu said at a news conference.
