More subscribers register their SIM cardsAccording to the National Telecommunications Commission, telco players reported that more than 11 million SIM cards are now registered. In a statement on Tuesday, DITO said it has already registered 7.22 percent of its subscribers.

These companies have been encouraging their subscribers to register, with some of them even providing free mobile data, such as DITO. Our DITOzens have begun to receive their free 2GB data rewards as promised and our subscribers can rest assured that we constantly make the necessary adjustments to make the entire experience easier, said Adel Tamano, chief administrative officer of DITO Telecommunity.

Under the law, existing users have six months to register. Those who fail to register will result in deactivation of their SIM. But a deactivated SIM will still have a five-day grace period for registration and reactivation.
