The sell-out of six Namoi River water licences to farmers from Wee Waa and Walgett follows the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting drier conditions ahead.

It was purchased by an irrigator from Wee Waa after a total of 142 bids were made from three bidders. Selling agent Michael Guest from Rural Property NSW said the auction sellout showed there was good demand for water from local irrigators.
