Father-of-two Jickey Mathew said he was both stunned and confused when he received a $201 parking fine in the mail, despite being certain of the road rules. 9News

"No parking" spots differ from "no stopping" zones, which are indicated with a red sign and do not allow stopping at all.The dad said he was both stunned and confused when he received a $201 parking fine in the mail.

In the photo, his daughter can be seen walking towards the school gates, while his son is in the act of shutting the back passenger door."I pulled up to drop them off and I was there for less than a minute. I didn't get out of the car at all," he said.A photo taken by Jicky Mathew shows his car in the same position he was fined in, but from a different camera angle to a photo supplied by Revenue NSW.

"He was holding a camera but I was not worried because I knew that I hadn't done anything wrong," he said. The demerit points lost because of the fine would likely mean Mathew would pay more on this CTP Green Slip insurance. The photo he had been provided was not evidence of anything, he said.
